From 1960's.

This original semi-antique Anatolian kilim is hand-spun from sheep wool. This authentic and vibrant color comes from natural root dyes.

Kilim which is a Turkish word comes from Persian lands. Anatolian kilims are woven from Balkans to the Far East and they are generally colourful with geometric drawings. The symbols on kilims goes back to Turks' Shamanic roots. These symbols have special meanings like maternity and fertility, abundance, good luck, fortune, happiness, joy, longevity, heroism and strength, sending away the evil gaze and desire for marriage.

It is said and known that the women who weave these rugs pour and reflect their love, their passions to these rugs with these symbols. They weave their emotions like poetry.

Anatolian rug making is the continuation of a deep-rooted tradition dating back centuries. It goes back more than 8000 years.

These pure-wool, semi-antique kilims are unique pieces of handcrafted mastership.
